The one thing that I have noticed over the year of following NASCAR is that a team carries more than one major sponsor. There are definitely less advertising dollars flowing NASCAR's way both on the track and off. There is no sport like NASCAR in which fans have a greater tie with the favorite driver and there major sponsors. Where can you find someone sporting Home Depot or Lowe's apparel when they don't work for those companies. NASCAR fans have been found in numerous studies to be extremely loyal to the sponsors of the teams they follow.

NASCAR CEO Brian France: ‘The Future Looks Bright For Us’
I'm not sure how many of you are NASCAR fans out there but I wanted to get this interview by Brian France NASCAR CEO on Yahoo Daily Ticker out there before the Daytona 500 but it slipped through my to do box. Now that gas is back up near $4 per gallon I am wondering if it will have a similar impact as high gas costs did back in 2008? Obviously there was more going on than just the high cost of fuel but the price of gasoline has a major impact on NASCAR fans getting to the race as 1) most drive long distances and 2) they drive large gas guzzling RV's.
