An Imperfect Union: Europe's debt crisis

This was a very good piece on 60 Minutes regarding the current European strife.  To understand the real story behind the current European crisis you may have to go back decades or even centuries as these countries seldom stop fighting with each other.  The belief that tying them all together under one currency might not have been the best idea.

Particular at heart are the issue that most companies have with Germany.  Germany controls the pursue strings on the continent and for Greece and the alike companies who are in need of a bailout they are not willing to succumb to the Germans for whom they still remember the travesties of WW II.  The current situation may go beyond countries running up a tab that they could not afford.
